1
Open the slow cooker liner and place inside the slow cooker dish.
2
Ensure the liner covers the bottom and sides of the dish and pull the top of the liner over the rim of the dish.
3
Season the beef with pepper and salt. Then add to a large pan and cook with oil until browned evenly (2-3 minutes).
4
Place beef, carrots, peppers, onions, peas and garlic into the slow cooker.
5
Stir in beef broth, tomato paste, worcestershire sauce and bay leaves.
6
Put slow cooker lid on and cook for approximately 7-8 hours on a lower heat or 3-4 hours on a higher heat.
7
If you prefer the gravy of the stew to be thicker, whisk some flour and water together in a bowl and add it to the stew (cooking for an additional 30 minutes).
8
We recommend serving with rice or crusty bread 🙂

And guess what no slow cooker to clean afterwards as the Bakewell liner protects it from mess!
