Chocolate chip cookies

Preheat the oven to gas mark 3 / 165C / 350F.

Line a baking tray using Bakewell baking paper.

In a large bowl add together 120g of brown sugar, 100g of caster sugar with 150g of melted unsalted butter.

Add to this 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and 1 egg and beat together.

Mix with this 300g of flour and 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate soda. Then add 300g of milk chocolate chips.

Using a 60ml measurer scoop the mixture out on to the lined tray, leaving approximately 2.5 inches between each.

Put tray in the middle of the oven and cook for 15-18 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly browned.

When cooked remove from oven and leave to cool for 3 minutes, then remove and place on a wired rack to cool further.

Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the rest of the mixture and enjoy.
